I am starting this very personal and also commercial website pointing East on purpose and my little journey and jovial story at the end will make this apparent.

I leave the pictures of the southern coastline for you to explore on the internet, or not.

In my eyes the continues summer holidays along the Baltic Sea oder Ostsee ((Eastsea) (very fitting name to my whole slant in things)) on Campingplätze with simple tents or in luxury on sailing boats for a few .

On a rebound from when I was 7 years young we, my parents and three sisters, were enjoying every summer on our beloved “Urbs Ucra” (meaning town on the river Uecker).

I here take the opportunity to Thank our parents for all this, my late mother Barbara or Bärbel and Uwe my dad.

Long beige sandy beaches. Sand which squeaks when you slam your foot into it, because it is so fine……..and all the way East to Saint Petersbourg and Russia.

We sailed leisurely to the Insel Hiddensee (www.hiddensee.de) This island of islands became a symbol for free living and free spirits like me.

Once you sassed out that your new friend or partner in conversation wasn't from the Stasi (Staatssicherheit), the secret police of the time…….although this really makes me chuckle as I am writing this.

Just look around yourselves. Mobile phones galore and information feeds straight into Silicon Valley or else computer banks. Cameras everywhere……

To do what???

When I at the age of 27 drove up and down the ramp of the ferry port Dover of this beautiful and full of great people country England, or in fairness United Kingdom.

I was facing cameras on the checkpoint…..That was between Christmas and New Year in 1994….

I didn't think it straight away, but soon after exploring the towns and villages I thought.

What and why on earth have the British built the Berliner Mauer around but every human settlement????

And now in the last thirty years not just the Brits!

The technology industry has done a proper job producing and selling those so “important” devices and devices behind the camera and the politics plus media are just backing up the scare mongering for their own reasons….. etcetera pepe. Too boring to even go further into the subject.

I here rest my case and let you decide, if this is Nils, the boatbuilder is really interested in getting more commercial value and avenues from this website, with my now nearly forty years of expertise in traditional shipwrighting and modern boatbuilding.

I could disassemble the “Victory” and put it back together, half Nelson's flagship and the other half modern Feadship lengthways.

Or just putting up a mirror to this world we live in.

I am still one of the same guys who stood up within the Eastern Block against a socialist/communist system that was abused by the leaders always and turned into a state capitalism.

And like-minded people all over the world are just the same as we speak.
